Hangin' with Ethan!

Ice Cream!!!

While B's sister Allie and her hubby Matt escaped to Europe their little guy, Ethan, spent some quality time grandparent hopping. We got to hang with him for an evening while he was at Jim and Karen's and what a good time we had!


Ethan was awesome at sharing, although I'm not sure B was all that excited about what there was to be shared. Ethan made an ice cream cone last longer than I had ever seen, largely due to the fact that he wasn't using all the lil' teeth in there to bite it. So the increasingly soggy cone persistently drooled all over his tummy as we watched Cars. In fact, at times when the music would pick up he'd sit and bounce to the beat with his ice cream. Pretty darn funny! We especially loved how he rubbed the ice cream IN to his tummy, as if it would somehow still get in there that way! Allie and Matt, here is Ethan's hello to you while you were away:

Eventually it was determined that the time had come to let the ice cream cone go--about the time that it resembled a wet sponge. So we went up stairs to hose off all the ice cream that didn't make its way to Ethan's mouth. We're estimating that this was at least 70%, actually. After bath time was over (boy can he splash!) we got him in his little footy pajamas and he fell asleep in about 90 seconds.

It was so much fun to get some one-on-one time with Ethan, he's such a happy little guy! Maybe if we ask nicely Allie will loan him to us more often... :) We can't wait to see the adorable little brother that's on his way for Ethan, either! I'm sure he'll be just as much fun!
